The State Theatre New Jersey held their annual gala at Suydam Farms in 2022. Originally planned as a picturesque journey throughout the historic farm in Somerset, NJ, the event featured cocktail hour food stations scattered across various locations, each accompanied by live music. Following this, a buffet-style dinner, complete with a risotto action station and Tomahawk steak carving station, was set up in the greenhouse. To ensure optimal freshness, all food was prepared onsite using commercial cooking equipment housed in a barn and food tent.

However, Mother Nature had other plans! On this particular day in May 2022, the area experienced record-breaking rainfall and strong winds. Anticipating the weather's unpredictability, we made the decision to relocate the cocktail hour, dessert, and music under a massive tent, while proceeding with dinner in the greenhouse. Despite the challenging conditions, the event proceeded flawlessly, leaving a lasting impression on both guests and staff alike. It was truly an unforgettable experience!
